AI in Corporate Travel: Solving the Wrong Problem
Artificial intelligence has quickly become the defining technology conversation in corporate travel. Nearly every new platform promises conversational booking, automated expense management, and AI-powered customer service.
But what if the industry is applying AI to the wrong problem?
The big challenge is not making reservations. It is helping travelers and organizations adapt to changing conditions, solving trip problems, and accomplishing the business objectives that make the trip necessary in the first place.
This paper argues that the future of travel AI should not be defined by making booking more conversational. Instead, it should think strategically, solve problems proactively, and continuously work to ensure every trip accomplishes its intended purpose.
